Good lighting is crucial for taking a performance to the next level, and we made sure to do just that. While a lot dueling pianos companies use the Chauvet DJ 4Bar lighting (pictured below) for their shows, most of them have a sort of "set it and forget it" approach to show lighting: plug the lights in, turn 'em to stage white, and that's it. But, that's just - boring.
Good lighting sets the mood and atmosphere of the performance, enhancing the overall experience for both the performers and the audience. It can take a song like "I Got a Feeling" by the Black Eyed Peas from a simple 3-chord song to an absolute ringer that gets everyone on the dance floor. It also makes an additional visual spectacle that complements the music. It helps to capture the audience's attention, maintain their interest, and enhance the aesthetics of the performance. We pride ourselves on how our equipment looks; so why should our lighting be any different? That's why we've upped our game. For weddings, we now bring two of the Chauvet Quads with the new, bigger, better, and badder GigBar Move+.
This beast has two additional pars, along with two moving spots with Gobo Wheels (basically they make cool designs), and two LED rotating derby effects. What does all of that mean? More lighting with cool effects! We add two extra Kinta FXs lights to our quads for even more incredible dance floor vibes. All of this is run through wireless DMX receivers with a bunch of great presets that we've programmed using American DJ's awesome app to flood your dance floor with a beautiful array of colors and effects. Check out the video below from a recent wedding we did.
